transparent Summary, Etc. Note: Abstract: Bayer 73, a molluscicide sold commercially as Bayluscide, is highly toxic to 18 species of freshwater fish. Various temperatures and water qualities in static bioassays do not influence the toxicity greatly, but pH variations in chemically buffered solutions do. The biodegradability, efficacy, and relative safety of Bayer 73 in aquatic situations indicate possible usefulness as a general fish toxicant.
