Abstract: Toxicity of MS-222 to rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, lake trout, northern pike, bluegill, largemouth bass, and walleye of various sizes was determined in a series of static bioassays at selected temperatures. Small fish of a species were more sensitive to the drug than large ones, and trout were more sensitive at warmer temperatures. Safety indexes were calculated on the basis of the brief exposures. |
