Summary, Etc. Note: |
Abstract: An inventory tabulated by States of 15 groups and races of big-game animals in the United States has been compiled annually by the Fish and Wildlife Service since 1937. These were the first attempts at a complete estimate of all big-game animals in the United States or, so far as known, in any country. Compilations for 1937, 1938, and 1940 have been issued as mimeographed wildlife leaflets. |
