Summary: Abstract: This manual, especially compiled for pest control operators (PCOs), is a resource for biological and behavioral information on the major bird pests as well as the economic impact and health hazards associated with bird pests. The legal responsibilities incurred when managing bird pests and the tools and methods used in bird management control, including habitat modification, exclusion, repellents, surveys, trapping and chemical control are described. The manual includes a section about bird management as a business and sample management programs. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service District Offices, state natural resource agencies, bird control product labels and additional sources of information are listed in appendices. |
