Abstract: A potency rating is presented by which the toxicity of chemicals to organisms can be assessed with a minimum of data from preliminary bioassays. This method permits effective and rapid evaluation of toxicity when data from preliminary tests are inadequate for statistical analysis. The potency rating of a bioassayed chemical, when compared with the maximum value on the rating scale, indicates the relative toxicity of the chemical. |
