Abstract: Methylpentynol was tested in 96-hour bioassays for its toxicity to rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, lake trout, northern pike, channel catfish bluegills, largemouth bass, and walleyes. Channel catfish are the most resistant and lake trout are the most sensitive. The drug is more toxic to bluegills at 17 degrees than at 12 degrees Centigrade. Toxicity was not influenced in different water hardnesses of 10 to 180 parts per million. |
