Summary: Abstract: Reference data on published threshold values of odor and taste substances are compiled to assist in improving food safety, air, and water quality. The compiled data are arranged under 6 major tabular formats which cover: an alphabetical listing of chemicals, including experimental and bibliographic data; an alphabetical listing of the chemicals by an assigned code number used for a given chemical throughout all 6 tabular formats; the numerical chemical code number sequence listed by increasing number; an empirical chemical formula list cross-referenced to chemical code numbers; a Wiswesser line notation permutation; and an alphabetical list of technical journals, with the specific chemicals (and their code numbers) reported in each journal listed under the name. Data on 2,626 chemicals in 66 journals, personal communications, books, monographs and papers, and other sources are included. (wz). |
