Abstract: Wild-trapped young-of-the-year cottontails (Sylvilagus floridanus), confined in 1-acre pens, were exposed to annual ground applicates of 0.5 and 2.0 pounds/acre of granular dieldrin. Reproductive data from rabbits in treated pens were compared with control groups during six breeding seasons, 1966-1971. The object of the study was to study the possible effects of dieldrin on cottontail reproduction. |
