Description: |
The goal of the Outdoor Pen Project was to build several specialized outdoor pen facilities for conducting studies on live animals and birds as well as to build a warehouse, garage/shop building, and bulk chemical storage facility. William Dusenberry, the Program Manager for Facility Planning and Development at the NWRC, spearheaded the project and served as the main correspondent between the NWRC and the various contractors. The project was set in motion in early 1994, when the LEO A DALY firm released the first cost estimate. After years of careful planning and consulting, construction began in 2001. This collection consists of 53 boxes and documents the progress of the Outdoor Pen Project from its start to its completion. It includes blueprints, oversize maps, correspondences, reports, cost estimates, and schedules dated 1994-2010. |
