The Mike Avery Digital Files Collection (NWRC 0047) consists of 13 series of digital files from the Gainesville, FL, Field Station dated 1998 to 2018. Topics covered in this collection include bird damage to aquaculture, grain, and fruit crops; testing of repellents, chemical deterrents, and avian contraception methods; vulture management and roost dispersal; research on monk parakeets and invasive species such as feral swine, Burmese pythons, Nile monitors, and Argentine tegus. This collection also contains facility maps and design plans for the Florida Field Station offices and animal pens. |
