This image is of Tim Ohashi (Staff Biologist with the WS-Hawaii Program) surveying Waimea-Kohala's Airport runway for wildlife hazards during the July survey period of a year long Wildlife Hazard Assessment (WHA) of the Waimea-Kohala general aviation airport. Mauna Kea is hiding in the clouds in the background, off on the right. Tim is in the process of training the photographer (Chad Wickham) on how to conduct a WHA in order for them to become a Qualified Airport Wildlife Biologist (QAWB). |
