Description: |
While performing nonlethal wolf work in Wallowa County, Oregon, I noticed movement in a rock pile that I was walking by. That movement turned out to be a coyote pup (Canis latrans) that the mother had hidden away for safe keeping. The Coyote pup stayed quiet and kept trying to duck its head below the rock in the center. The mother was out in the field watching my every move. I left area shortly after taking a few photos to allow the mother to return to the coyote pup. |
