Eastern painted turtle hatchling in wedding ring for size comparison. The hatchling was found on the edge of a boat launch parking lot early one morning while launching a boat to conduct nutria eradication work. It is an example of one of the many species of wildlife being protected from the threat of habitat loss by invasive nutria. |
