USDA Wildlife Services biologists attach a radio transmitter to a Laysan albatross on Kauai. The team is evaluating the use of mitigation translocation (i.e., capturing, marking and moving of birds) away from the U.S. Navy�s Pacific Missile Range Facility as a non-lethal management tool to decrease the risk of collisions between the birds and military aircraft. |
