Description: |
This snowy owl is coming into a bow net during a snow storm in April at Logan International. Logan, USDA, and MA Audubon work cooperatively on snowy owl trapping and all owls are examined and banded by MA Audubon before released at area beaches. This particular net uses a remote control to trigger it and the antenna from the receiver is seen sticking up from the net. Unfortunately this trapping effort was unsuccessful on this day and the net missed the owl. 2018 WS Photo Contest Entry |
