In 2013 Wilkes Island was rat free but Polynesian rats have since invaded Wilkes Island and are a predatory threat to sooty tern chicks. NWRC is helping DOD work toward another rat eradication effort. Taken in the Ttdal area between Wake and Wilkes Islands, Wake Atoll, USA. |
