2015-2016 Wildlife Services Photo Contest Entry. A Herring Spawning Event attracts large numbers of Eagles to Line and Battery Islands perfectly inline with the glide slope for the runway. The Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 was advised of the eagles and their location, and makes a safe landing at the Sitka Airport. |
