Description: |
The emergence of avian influenza viruses (AIVs) in poultry remains a global problem that can cost hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. To help decision-makers better prepare and respond to AIV outbreaks in commercial poultry, NWRC researchers summarized the current state of knowledge about AIV in wild birds and poultry as well as identified research priorities to build on existing emergency response tools. This image appeared in the 2014 NWRC Accomplishments Report, Accomplishments in Brief- Tools for Guiding Responses to Avian Influenza Outbreaks in Poultry. |
